NYC Underdogs have been playing against each other or together for years. They’ve been underdogs their whole lives and feel like they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Team Ariel Investments played against each other in college, so winning together was a game changer and something really exciting. They believe that basketball has ordered the way they move through the world and how they operate.
A team of sisters and friends, the Lady Chargers believe that basketball brought them together. Basketball has taught them discipline and how to support one another.
The Lauderdale Boys are like brothers. They attribute success to hard work and perseverance. By putting their mind to the game and focusing, anything is possible.
Team Stars and Stripes came to win and attribute their success to communication, constructive criticism, defense, and ultimately putting the ball in the basket. They also get along really well on and off the court which creates great synergy.
Ariel Investments believe that 3 on 3 basketball is about playing strategically. They like to refer to themselves as 3 point specialists, even though they’ve only been playing together for a year.
Showing their commitment to the game, Team Harlem traveled to LA to compete in a qualifier, eventually edging out all other cities to take home the Men’s Championship in year 1. As part of the title prize, the team earned a spot in 2017 FIBA 3×3 All-Stars December 2017 in Doha.
As winners of the first 2016 3X Qualifier in Atlanta, The Silent Assassins beat out winners from 5 other cities to take home the chip. With their championship, the Assassins also earned a spot in the 2017 USA Basketball 3×3 National Tournament.
